Arizona State University commends the work of Governor Ducey and the state legislature for their focus on economic development at this critical moment of opportunity for the state. We are especially grateful for Senator Paul Boyer’s unwavering commitment to leveraging the assets of ASU through the New Economy Initiative as a catalyst for growth and helping to build the workforce for this expansion. ASU takes on this assignment with enthusiasm and we look forward to doing our part to help the state and Arizona businesses seize the opportunities that are emerging as part of the new economy. We further note and applaud the budget allocation to provide funding for the Promise Scholarship, which will provide resources to students seeking higher education, a commitment that corresponds with ASU’s ongoing efforts to expand access to the university.
