Engineering the future by solving grand challenges

The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering constitute one of the best, largest, and most comprehensive programs in the United States. In keeping with Arizona State University's commitment to innovation, social embeddedness and use-inspired research under President Michael Crow, the Fulton Schools are educating a new generation of engineers with a balance of core discipline learning and an appreciation for the broad social context of their important work. 

An example of these efforts is the School's proactive engagement in the National Academy of Engineering's‚ "Grand Challenge Scholars Program," which seeks prepare students to find solutions to the major issues facing society today.
