ASU President Crow Discusses How Arizona Can Be More Competitive

Arizona has been criticized for falling behind when it comes to K-12 education — in part because of funding. And the state’s public universities have had to make changes in the wake of budget cuts that put deep slices into funding the institutions of higher education receive.
So as the state is trying to get more competitive, have we shot ourselves in the foot?
Arizona State University President Michael Crow has been blunt about the need for the state to have more of a vision of how to deal with technological advances and how workers — whether with a high-school education or an advanced degree — could be affected.
Steve Goldstein of KJZZ spoke with President Crow about how to make Arizona more competitive.
