Human Capital and Economic Activity in Urban America
2008 Professor of the Year
Since 1994, the ASU Parents Association has recognized teaching excellence through its Professor of the Year Award. Each year, the Association asked students, staff and other faculty to nominate ASU professors who “best exemplify a passion for teaching and who excel in both undergraduate teaching and in their area of research and/or creative activity.” Winners are selected by a committee of parents, students, faculty, and staff, and the winner receives a cash award of $10,000, funding for an undergraduate research assistant, and a lifelong designation as a Parents Association Professor.

ASU School of Public Affairs
The April 7 issue of U.S. News & World Report highlighted the best graduate programs in the nation and the ASU School of Public Affairs ranked 25th overall on their list. Several programs within the School, which is committed to advancing urban governance in a global context, also earned high ratings. Joining this week's podcast from the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus is Regents’ Professor Robert Denhardt, director of the School of Public Affairs.
ASU Polytechnic Faculty and Staff Address

ASU President Michael Crow joined the Polytechnic community for the event and discussed the future of the campus and ASU as a whole.
