In two months, leaders from 170 countries will gather for the 2009 Copenhagen Climate Conference to develop a new climate protocol before the current Kyoto Protocol runs out in 2012.
In advance of the conference, communities around the globe have been asked to participate in "World Wide Views on Global Warming" – forums dedicated to discussing and determining key climate change issues. As part of its ongoing commitment as a leader in sustainability education, research and practice, ASU recently contributed to the forum held in Phoenix, Arizona.
In this podcast, Dr. Netra Chhetri of ASU's Consortium for Science Policy and Outcomes and Jim Buizer, Executive Director for Strategic Institutional Advancement and Science Policy Advisor to President Michael Crow will discuss ASU's involvement in the forum and how the event's outcomes may help to shape future climate change policy.
