Office of the President

Mentoring our incoming Obama Scholars

Date:
July 23, 2009

Last spring, ASU announced the establishment of the President Barack Obama Scholars Program in order to help enhance access to higher education in Arizona. The program targets first-time freshmen and is one of several programs at ASU designed to promote equal access to university education beyond financial barriers that might otherwise prevent students from continuing their educations. This podcast features a conversation with Dr. James Rund, senior vice president of University Student Initiatives, who offers an update on the program as the fall semester nears.
