On June 16, Congressman Harry Mitchell held another Sustainability Town Hall at ASU. The focus of this policy event was on renewable energy. There were seven presenters including two from ASU and was followed by Q/A from the audience. Dr. Jon Fink, our director of the Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS) and Dr. Neal Woodbury, a professor of chemistry and biochemistry, spoke on efforts underway at ASU. The 90 minute event was open to the public and was located at SkySong and approximately 325 people attended. This event came on the heels of ASU announcing an effort to install 2 megawatts of solar electric modules on 135,00 square feet of building rooftop space. The largest deployment of solar on any campus in the country.
