On May 8, Arizona State University presented Dr. James J. Duderstadt with an honorary doctorate for his influential work related to the evolution of the modern public research university and his meaningful contributions in the areas of nuclear research, information technology, and science policy. Dr. Duderstadt is President Emeritus and University Professor of Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan as well as the founding director of the University of Michigan’s Millennium Project.
