An unprecedented number of students, with backgrounds more socially, culturally and economically diverse than any previous generation, will pursue higher education in the 21st century. Changes in student populations, teaching methods, technology and other factors render old university models obsolete and require universities to design adaptable and innovative models to fit the complex and growing needs of our world.
